The Paper/String Method

HOW

  1. Take a string or a piece of paper no wider than 1.5 cm.
  2.  Wrap it around your finger and mark with a pen where one end meets the other. Then line the string or paper against a ruler and read off the measurement.
  3. This measurement is your ring CIRCUMFERENCE.
  4. Using the chart below, you can match your finger measurement to a ring size.

WHEN

During the course of the day, your fingers will naturally change size and they will be at their largest by the evening. This is the best time to measure them.

Avoid measuring your fingers when they are cold, as at this point they can be at least half a size too small

FIT

The correct ring size should be snug enough not to fall off, but not too tight.

Your ring should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance and you should be able to take it off without struggling.
